nVoq Board of Directors
The nVoq Board of Directors is comprised of a group of seasoned and talented technology executives with practical industry experience across a wide range of organizations. They provide subject matter expertise that has helped shape the strategic direction and long-term vision of the company.
Steven Flannery has extensive experience in technology startups and venture capital. Mr. Flannery joined technology company Sitera in November of 1996. As CEO, he drove the growth of the Network Processor business, culminating in Sitera’s acquisition by Vitesse Semiconductor in May of 2000. Following the acquisition, Mr. Flannery acted as VP of the Network Process Group for Vitesse thru 2002. In 2001, Mr. Flannery, along with his partners in founding Sitera, was awarded the Esprit Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Colorado. He is now a partner in FLS Partners, chartered to help small technology companies prepare for business success and complete first rounds of significant financing. He currently serves on several Boards of Directors.Prior to Sitera, Mr. Flannery served as Executive Vice President of Operations at Mobile Data International (MDI) in Vancouver, BC; Vice President of R&D of Motorola’s Mobile Data Division; and Vice President of Development for Norand Corporation. In each firm, he was responsible for the design of wide area and local area networking products for the mobile data environment.
Mr. Flannery was also responsible for international manufacturing for MDI with production facilities in Vancouver and Puerto Rico. He was part of the executive team that led both MDI and Norand through initial public offerings. Mr. Flannery holds a combined MS/BS in Computer Engineering/ Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Stanford University.

Hal Julsen has more than 30 years of technology sales and marketing experience. Hal has held key executive positions in worldwide sales and marketing with companies such as Rogue Wave Software, Veribest Inc., Viewlogic Systems, Frame Technology, Iomega Corporation and Control Data Corporation.
Larry is Chairman and CEO of WorkFlex Solutions LLC, a Cincinnati, Ohio-based company specializing in call center workforce optimization solutions. Mr. Schwartz brings 25 years of executive management experience in large-scale operations streamlining, enterprise-grade software and consumer products development, strategic planning, business transformation, and outsourced services including billing and contact centers.
Steve Tran is an active angel investor and currently advises and serves on the boards of a variety of start-ups. He most recently worked as VP of Strategy & Business Development at Nuance Communications, where he was responsible for leading business development and mergers and acquisitions initiatives for Nuance’s On-Demand business unit. Previously, Mr. Tran was co-founder of BeVocal, Inc., the leading provider of on-demand call automation and customer care solutions for enterprises and telecom carriers. He was responsible for establishing and leading the BeVocal Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Client Solutions organizations and was a key driver in closing and managing over $250 million in contracts with entities such as AT&T Mobility, MetroPCS, Disney, Vonage, BellSouth and Qwest. He also co-led BeVocal’s acquisition by Nuance Communications in April 2007 for approximately $180 million in total consideration.
